Behyar Sanat Sepahan is a knowledge-based company working in the field of Medical Appliances settled at Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) since 1999.
This company has managed to domesticize the production of radiotherapy machines within Iran by its successful design and manufacturing of Linear Accelerators. A linear accelerator (LINAC) is the device most commonly used for external beam radiation treatments for patients with cancer. The linear accelerator is used to treat all parts/organs of the body. It delivers high-energy x-rays or electrons to the region of the patient's tumor.
These radiography machines are especially used in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers including colon cancer and also prostate and breast cancers.
Until now, all radiography cancer treatment in Iran was carried out with the use of foreign imported machines creating long waiting periods for treatment and great dependency in the repair and maintenance of these machines.
This technology was previously owned and used by several multinational private companies manufacturing the world’s requirements in terms of radiography appliances. With the manufacturing of the Linear Accelerator by all Iranian engineers, Behyar Sanat Sephan has now entered this elite group of manufacturers alleviating internal and regional needs. Through the development of this machine, Behyar Sanat has now included Iran among the 5 countries with this technology in the world.
ISTT offers a wide range of supportive services to its resident knowledge based companies in different fields of activity. As an organization active in the development of the knowledge-based economy and the domestic talent pool, independence in the manufacturing of appliances used in the treatment of cancer is considered as one of its success stories.
